Making the Switch to Self-Directed Education
Allister, like many of our students, was unhappy with the traditional model of education. He had a natural passion for learning, but felt held back by being forced to learn at a pace and direction that was not his own. In this month’s podcast, Allister shares his story of how he found Fairhaven School, how he convinced his parents that the Sudbury model of education was right for him, and how he has been thriving ever since making the switch to self-directed education.
At Fairhaven School, enrollment is open year-round. Our flexible model allows students to join anytime, fitting smoothly into our self-directed learning community without missing a step.
